The Coalition serves as the primary voice for leading companies working to integrate Artificial Intelligence models into systems, platforms and applications. Members of the Coalition often occupy multiple roles throughout the AI value chain, at times developing, refining, integrating, and deploying AI technologies through diverse use cases and technical approaches. The Coalition aims to educate policymakers and other essential stakeholders about the complexity of roles, responsibilities, and relationships across the AI ecosystem and to advocate for policies based on an accurate understanding of this ecosystem.

Current discussions on Capitol Hill have focused mainly on developers and deployers of AI. However, a growing group of industry stakeholders incorporate AI into their products and services in diverse and innovative ways. The purpose of the Coalition is to highlight the work of these companies, ensure the companies have a voice in critical policy discussions, and to develop legislative and regulatory policies that appropriately reflect their role and any potential responsibilities in the AI value chain.

AI is a transformative technology that has the potential to unlock enormous promise for businesses, consumers, and society. 

AI will impact not just the technology industry, but all industries, sectors, and parts of society.

The AI community includes numerous stakeholders – including integrators, developers of foundational models, infrastructure and networks providers, deployers of consumer-facing products and others.

Effective AI policymaking will require policymakers to hear and incorporate input from actors across this ecosystem based on their different perspectives, needs, and risks.
